2023 President Elect Nominee

I am a Realtor by Profession. I was educated here in Brunswick County for my career which started in October of 1988. I went to work full time in Fayetteville for the first 11 years, which is my birth home. In 1999 I came back to my heart home Brunswick County which my husband was native to. I have lived in this county longer than my birth county. We raised our children here which also work and live in this county. The Real Estate and Appraisal professions are my passions. I believe everyone should have a home of their own. I also believe Realtors should be respected more as we do follow the Code of Ethics. I love being involved with the Board activities and have enjoyed serving on the Professional Standards Committee in the last few years. I look forward to the next leadership round with this organization.

2023 Leaders (2)

Joining the Brunswick County Association of Realtors has been the best experience of my Real Estate career. I moved to Brunswick County from the Raleigh area in 2014. At that time, I was with a very small firm and had been since 2008, so I wanted to attend all events and start joining various committees to not only meet other agents but to also learn. I never felt such a sense of real estate community until I moved here and joined the Brunswick County Association of Realtors. I have enjoyed being a part of the various committees and activities that the association offers. Being on the Board of Directors for 2022 has been an eye-opening experience already. The amount of work that is involved in making sure all of our agents are well informed and educated, is just one of the reasons Brunswick County Realtors are so successful. I would like to be considered to be on the Board of Directors to make a positive difference in our community of realtors.

2023 Leaders (3)

I would love the opportunity to serve on the BCAR BOD. I feel I could bring my experience in real estate, my position as a Director on the NCR Housing Foundation Board of Directors along with my prior experience of 30+ years as an accountant to the BCAR BOD and that would be a valuable addition.

2023 Leaders (1)

Faith, Family, Education, and Integrity is my Foundation. I believe Realtors should not only help their clients pursue their goals, but also, we should strive at all times to help our neighbors and be helpful to other Realtors & vendors when they need us. I've always believed real estate sales and new construction is the Geiger Counter to a healthy economy. I believe the first signs of a failing economy is a slowdown in new home construction, and an increase in supply of homes for sale. It is exactly our real estate profession that understands faster than any other profession in our country what is coming down the pike...something getting bigger as it moves toward us (good or bad). I believe Realtors have a tremendous responsibility to buyers and sellers not only in a good economy but especially in a bad one. As Realtors we wear many hats. We become students as well as teachers and learn something new every day. We all need each other, we need constant continued education, we need to be kinder & more patient with one another, we need to hold ourselves true to ethics and honesty above all else, and we all need to be involved. I believe our Brunswick Board of Realtors is the perfect example and the amplifier of this important message. I've worked 44 years in this wonderful crazy profession & sold real estate in 1981 when conventional loans topped out at 18.45% interest rates to an all-time low of 2.68% in 2020. These next few years will be interesting and if the economy continues to falter and gas rates continue to go up it will be tough on everyone. We will all need to "bunch up". I would love to have the opportunity to serve on our Board of Directors and help in any way I can. If I'm not elected, I will still strive to help in any way I can.
