2024 President Elect Nominee

As a second-generation REALTOR® and current REALTOR® since 2009 I believe strongly in our Association and its members. As a Past President, I support our members and believe we have excellent leadership in our association staff. Members can rely on your association to help you in your career. As a future President Elect, I will strive to see that all our members are represented, receive assistance when requested and that BCAR continues to be respected throughout our great State. Our Leadership and Board continue to stay abreast of issues that affect homeowners, REALTORS®, and our community. We keep our members informed of the ever-changing items from a Nation, State and Local level and will continue to do so. I encourage our members to join some of the Boards and/or Committees we offer. Thank you in advance for your vote. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.
2024 Treasurer Nominees (1 to be elected)

I believe in servant leadership. Since 2009, I have served as a volunteer locally for several community/church/school organizations to lead families in coaching, good sportsmanship, service to/for others, God; and of course, having fun and staying out of trouble. Now that the children are growing older, my focus trends elsewhere & naturally toward my profession where I seek to help others be the best REALTORS they can be. This began while an admin at a local brokerage and before I activated my NC license. Due to brokerage changes and quick growth, becoming the Broker in Charge made sense to help lead the REALTORS at my office. That evolved into becoming part of the executive leadership team at Keller Williams (for all our offices). Being involved with the association is a good business practice but it goes beyond business. We are professionals for our clients and each other. We strive to be community servants. I hope that by serving as a director with our local board, I can contribute to keeping us all aligned with the rules of our commission and the code of ethics we swear to uphold. Thank you for considering me for this opportunity.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1987. After a 30+ year career in the accounting world in both public and private settings, I changed careers and received my real estate license in 2018. I have been involved in BCAR activities serving on the Budget and Finance Committee for two years, Strategic Planning Committee, and currently serving on the BCAR Board of Directors. I also serve on the NC Realtors® Housing Foundation Board of Directors. I am currently president-elect of the NCRHF. I am also member of the NC Realtors® William C. Bass Leadership Academy Class of 2023. I serve on the Brunswick County Equalization and Review Board. I am also involved in various community activities and with my church. Thank you for your consideration as BCAR Treasurer.

Serving the needs of the members has always been an important part of my personality and many years of involvement and experience will speak for itself. From education to policy and to financial needs, I have always been ready and willing to participate, and many times lead the way not just locally but on a state and national level as well. Listening is also a vital part of what I believe makes good things happen. Please allow me to use the experience I have gained over so many years of participation to serve the good of our Association and to all its members.
2024 Director Nominees (1 to be elected)

I was asked to volunteer to be a BCAR leader, I decided this may be a good opportunity to make a difference at our local association level and provide positive ideas and feedback in order to help grow our association and affiliate members. I hope to help network more members together and help send business to our wonderful affiliate members. In my short time with BCAR I feel I have made a small difference and I would like to make more of an impact. I am an active board member and director for Supply elementary school’s PTA and I have in my short time taken a non-existent PTA board and turned it into a fully functioning, impactful and sufficiently parent run committee. I hope to use the same tools and tactics to improve BCAR as well.

I have been a resident of North Carolina for 9 years and a Brunswick County Association of Realtors since 2020. Being a member of BCAR has been an important part of my career in many ways. As a full time Realtor I feel that it is important to be involved in our Association to promote the mutual best interests of all our members. Therefore, I look forward to serving on the Board of Directors and to represent our Brunswick County Realtors with the highest ethics and professionalism.
