Brunswick County REALTORS® participate in NCDOT Spring Litter Sweep to help clean up Brunswick County’s roads
Members of the Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR) recently did their part to clean up Brunswick County’s roadsides. Over the course of two days, ten teams of volunteers gathered over sixty bags of trash between Southport and Calabash as part of the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Spring Litter Sweep program.
“Our members are committed to the communities in which they live and work, and we were pleased to do our part to help keep Brunswick County beautiful,” said BCAR CEO Cynthia Walsh. “Participating in NCDOT’s Spring Litter Sweep program is only one of many examples of Brunswick County’s REALTORS donating their time, talent and treasure to make our county a better place.”
With nearly 80,000 miles of roads, the N.C. Department of Transportation is responsible for one of the nation’s largest highway systems. Litter Sweep is NCDOT’s biannual statewide roadside litter removal initiative, during which residents throughout the state participate in local efforts to help clean up North Carolina’s roadways.
