BCAR supports Communities in Schools in honor of 2021 Volunteer of the Year award recipient
Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® created to Volunteer of the Year award in 2021, to recognize their REALTOR® and Affiliate members who have given back to the community, exemplifying what it means to be a BCAR member, and a responsible and considerate member of society. BCAR members may nominate a REALTOR® or Affiliate by submitted the application, which has members list how the nominee served the community and volunteered in BCAR Cares events.
Nominated by her peers, the winner of the first ever BCAR Volunteer of the Year award is Ginger Harper of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage in Southport. Ginger was recognized at the recent Harley Holiday Party, where she was presented with the VOTY plaque. As a reward, the Volunteer of the Year receives $500 to donate to a charity or organization of their choice. Ginger chose to give her donation to Brunswick County Communities in Schools.
Founded nationally in the 1970s, Communities In Schools (CIS) of Brunswick County is part of a national network of independent 501© 3 non-profit CIS affiliates working to implement the CIS mission “to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.”
