BCAR members donate to Brandon’s Battle, local non-profit supporting sick children
Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® is proud to support Brandon's Battle Foundation, a local non-profit organization that supports pediatric cancer patients and their families. They provide therapeutic games, puzzles, and books to children at UNC and Duke Children's Hospitals. When the BCAR Cares Task Force received a request to support Brandon's Battle, they knew BCAR members would be happy to help out.
Brandon and his parents found themselves living in the hospital when Brandon was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. Brandon battled with many reactions to chemotherapy - cardiomyopathy, liver failure, kidney failure, digestive system problems, loss of vision, etc. Brandon lost his battle with cancer in October 2016.
Brandon's parents started Brandon's Battle Foundation to support other families that are calling the hospital 'home'. They want to provide therapeutic games and things that children can do without realizing that they are doing mental and physical therapy.
