CE Elective: Land Use & Construction – Why it matters to pay attention

To attend a class with BCAR, you must agree to BCARs Classroom Rules. + 4 hours of NC CE Elective credit for Real Estate Agents This course is designed to showcase the many similarities between Land Use and construction and why it matters to pay attention when constructing a new structure. Many contractors start a new build with the tried-and-true requirements of the North Carolina Building Code. In this course, we focus on what could be a different approach and study the mechanics of zoning to make sure you get off to a good footing. Upon completion of this course, students will have a better understanding of Zoning Ordinances and lot-specific dimensional requirements including yard, setbacks, and height, and how they relate to the construction of residential structures. We will also examine three case studies that showcase what we have learned in this course and how it is applied in a real-world scenario.
