Short Sales and Foreclosures Certification Course (CE Elective)

The Short Sales and Foreclosures course is specifically designed to show how you, the real estate professional, can serve as a resource for sellers and buyers in the brokerage of distressed properties. At the completion of the course, you will be prepared to effectively tackle a short sale or foreclosure from contract through close.

  • Distressed properties and how events like the 2008 housing crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted distressed buyers
  • The listing agent’s role in assisting distressed borrowers/sellers in navigating short sales
  • The steps involved in taking a short sale listing
  • The buyer’s agent role with short sale and REO transactions
  • Short sales from contract to closing
  • Topics and trends in short sales and foreclosures, and adapting your business to respond to these trends
