Brunswick County’s residential real estate market remained strong in November with increases in news listings, units sold, average sale prices and total sales volume, according to statistics released by the Brunswick County Association of REALTORS®.

“Home prices and total sales volume are strong, and homes are selling at a good clip as we move into Winter,” said BCAR CEO Cynthia Walsh. “Apart from Hurricane Florence’s impact on our September 2019 number, the 36% jump in total sales volume is the biggest single-month increase we’ve seen from 2018 to 2019 increase.”  

Average sale prices in Brunswick County increased 9.8%, from $276,395 in November 2018 to $303,415 this November. The number of new listings rose from 393 in November 2018 to 452 last month, a 15% increase. The number of units sold increased from 311 to 385, a 23.8% increase. Total sales volume increased from $85,960,000 to $116,810,000, a 35.9% increase. There are currently 367 pending sales, 18% more than the same time last year, and 83% of those are scheduled to close this month. The average number of days on market has stayed consistent since October at approximately 100 days. The absorption rate, which measures how long it would take to sell the current inventory of homes, has also held steady at 5 months.
