How many agents do I need for an office business?
There must be a minimum of 5 agents for an office visit. A class at BCARs Education Center would be recommended for smaller groups.
Where will BCAR visit?
Office visits may be conducted at a brokers office or at BCARs Education Center in Shallotte, NC.

The fine structure has been modified to conform more closely to the existing NCRMLS Rules and Regulations. The fine structure that addresses the Clear Cooperation Policy and manipulating Days on Market (DOM) or Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM) went into effect on January 4th, 2021. On January 4th, 2021, all Subscribers were restarted on the new fine structure.
1st Offense - $0 courtesy notice
2nd Offense - $50 fine
3rd Offense - $100 fine
4th Offense - $250 fine
5th Offense - $500 fine
6th Offense - $1,000 fine
7th Offense - $2,500 fine & loss of services until fines are paid.

IDX is the most commonly used feed for REALTOR® websites. This feed gives the website designer raw data and pictures, allowing control, flexibility and tracking of MLS data to your clientele. All data given in an IDX Feed is public data only. The private data that is in the MLS will never be accessible by IDX. An IDX feed is for advertising.

Virtual Office Website Feeds are used for business. A VOW Feed will have data that consist of what an agent will share with clientele.
- $300 one time compliance fee
- $240 annual compliance fee (prorated in the month you apply for VOW)
FIU Feeds are not for advertising and can't be used to display data on websites. They are used for office use only.
- $300 one time compliance fee
- $240 annual compliance fee (prorated in the month you apply for FIU)
Automated Valuation Model Feeds are strictly for sites that attempt to automatically apply a value to listed properties.
- $300 one time compliance fee
- $240 annual compliance fee (prorated in the month you apply for AVM)
Please note: When an agent switches vendors or company's, a new compliance fee will be required. When you acquire a new feed, your bill will be prorated and charged appropriately for the remainder of the year until the next billing cycle occurs.
Important Notes about your RETS Feed
There are immediate fines to the vendor and broker for every site using NCRMLS data that does not have an authorized Data Access Agreement. Please ensure that every site you operate has an executed Data Access Agreement before it is live.
Once a contract is submitted and processed, you will receive notification and a copy of the executed document. If this contract is for a BCAR broker and/or office, it should be submitted to BCAR for processing.
IDX and VOW Feed's turn around time is 5 business days per NAR.
Tips for Page 5 - Signatures
Consultant: You, the vendor. This needs to be 100% completed. The email address should be where you want notices to go if there is a change to RETS Data.
Firm: Must be completed for every agreement. Make sure you list the domain or mobile app.
Associate Broker Party: Only complete this section if the person requesting BCAR MLS from you (the vendor) is an agent working for a company/BIC.
Agent Website: Not a company/office website. Make sure you list the domain or mobile app.
NCRMLS: Leave blank!
Tips for Page 6 - Exhibits
Exhibit A: Please list all domains that the MLS may displayed on, other than the domain specified on page 5.
Exhibit B: If there are multiple Association Brokers (in the case of subdomains) they will be listed here.
