Orientation

All new members applying for REALTOR® membership are required to attend a New Member Orientation program. This requirement must be fulfilled during the next orientation sessions after submitting a New Member application. Failure to complete this requirement during the next two sessions will result in termination of membership.

New Member Orientation covers topics necessary for you, as a REALTOR®, to conduct yourself both professionally and ethically.  An overview of BCAR to help you better understand how the Association works, Governmental Affairs, Realtor® Safety, Anti-trust and Fair Housing.

New Member Orientation is held on a Tuesday and begins promptly at 9:00 AM and will end around 1:00 PM. You will automatically be signed up for the next available New Member Orientation session after submitting your paperwork. This is a Mandatory Class and is not offered remotely.

NCRMLS Rules & Regulations On-line Course which is MANDATORY must be completed within 30 days of joining.

REALTOR® Membership

Prior to attending the New Member Orientation program, you are requested to complete a Code of Ethics course.  This requirement must be completed within 90 days of application.  This course is offered for free by the National Association of REALTORS®.  Continuing Education credit is NOT awarded for the NAR online course, but this does apply for your NAR Biennial requirements. You will need to have your NRDS # to login and take this course.
