BCAR Cares wins Brunswick County Chamber Community Outreach Award

On April 18, Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce hosted their Awards Gala Event, recognizing chamber member-businesses who have put forth outstanding efforts in their work and in their community. Brunswick County Association of Realtors® proudly accepted the Community Outreach Award.
"I couldn't be prouder of our dedicated group of Realtors and Affiliates who make it all happen. Having been involved with BCAR Cares Committee for 3 years, I've seen it grow and improve with each passing year." says Dani Kinstle, 2023 BCAR Cares Task Force Chair.
Following the leadership of the BCAR Cares Task Force, BCAR Realtor and Affiliate members are encouraged to get involved and give back by supporting BCAR Cares programs. Their goal is to host at least 12 give-back programs each year, but the 2024 Task Force is on track to exceed that goal.
In 2023, the BCAR Cares Task Force completed the following tasks:
- Winter Supplies Drive for Street Reach Homeless Shelter
- Volunteer Day at Coastal Carolina Outreach
- Food collection for Wings Ministry Food Pantry
- Boosting Care Program for Brunswick Senior Resource Center
- Book Drive for Shallotte Rotary
- Community Clean Up AKA 'Beach Sweep'
- School Supplies Drive for Brunswick County Elementary Schools
- Sponsored Make a Wish Celebration
- Pet supplies collection for R.A.C.E
- Sponsored and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament
- Sponsored Brunswick County Sheriff's Dept Fall Festival
- Supplies collection for Hope Harbor Home
- Holiday Giving Fundraiser for Brunswick Family Assistance
- Holiday Party Drive for BCC Food Pantry
So far, in 2024, the BCAR Cares Task Force has completed the following tasks:
- Winter Supplies Drive for Street Reach Homeless Shelter
- Little Luv Project for Samaras Village
- Sponsored and volunteered for Coastal Carolina Outreach Epic Egg Hunt
- Presented grant to Habitat for Humanity
- Fundraiser for Birthday Wishes Ministry
- Food Drive in support of Manna Ministry Food Pantry
- Host Ice Cream Party at Autumn Care, Shallotte
- Boswell's Breeze for Fran's Fans Program
