BCAR volunteers at Autumn Care
The BCAR Cares Committee is always searching for new ways to give back to the community. This week, they visited friends at Autumn Care of Shallotte to host a Hawaiian-themed pizza party. The residents were happy to join the fun, putting on a lei and drinking from their coconut cup. After finishing their pizza lunch, the committee was happy to assist the residents create their own windchime.
"When we reach out to help someone, we expect to be the giver. But in the process, we open ourselves up, connect more genuinely, and sometimes discover empathy and perspective we didn’t know we needed", says a member of the BCAR Cares Committee.

Community Clean Up
BCARs annual Community Clean Up Week is June 7 - 14. BCAR members are encouraged to get their hands dirty by visiting their local park, beach, or road-side to pick up litter.

Boswell's Breeze
Boswell's Breeze fundraiser collects donations for Fran's Fans, which supplies local seniors with a new fan during the summer heat. All donors will receive recognition!
