BCAR Cares Foundation Raises $17,870 for Affordable Housing in Brunswick County

During the month of January, the BCAR Cares Foundation hosted the Affordable Housing Fundraiser in support of Brunswick Partnership for Housing (BPH), a local nonprofit dedicated to expanding affordable and workforce housing opportunities in Brunswick County.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support BPH’s current project in Southport, North Carolina, where the organization is developing a seven-unit affordable and workforce housing community. In April 2025, Brunswick Partnership for Housing strengthened this initiative by acquiring the former AT&T lot adjacent to its existing property, allowing the project to move forward and expand its impact.

This year’s fundraiser marked a major milestone for BCAR. For the first time ever, BCAR hosted a matching-funds campaign, pledging to match all donations made by its members throughout the month. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of the membership, the campaign raised a total of $17,870.

The BCAR Cares Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the 93 members who donated, helping to make safe, stable, and affordable housing more accessible for individuals and families in the community.
