BCAR Cares hosts successful Spring Cleaning Coat Drive

During the month of February, BCAR Cares proudly hosted a Spring Cleaning Coat Drive, encouraging members and community residents to donate new and gently used coats to support the Neighbor 2 Neighbor Coat Closet.

Thanks to the generosity of BCAR members and the local community, more than 50 coats in children’s, women’s, and men’s sizes were collected. These donations will directly benefit individuals and families throughout Brunswick County, helping ensure they stay warm during the colder months.

The Neighbor 2 Neighbor Coat Closet is a community-focused, nonprofit outreach program with a strong presence in Brunswick County. The organization collects and distributes free, gently used and new winter coats, as well as hats, gloves, and scarves, to those in need. Their mission is simple but impactful: to provide warmth, dignity, and care to neighbors throughout the community.

“BCAR Cares is proud to partner with organizations like Neighbor 2 Neighbor that make a tangible difference in the lives of local families,” said Kim Fleming, BCAR Cares Committee Vice Chair. “The success of this drive reflects the compassion and commitment of our members and community.”
