Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® Supports Firefighters Battling Local Wildfires

The Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® recently delivered cooling supplies to firefighters responding to the fires in the Ocean Isle Beach and Shallotte areas.
The effort began when BCAR CEO Cynthia Walsh reached out to a former firefighter and asked what crews needed most. The answer was cooling towels soaked in ice water.
BCAR President Dani Kinstle and Walsh purchased coolers, ice and cooling towels, and delivered the supplies to the headquarters where firefighters are taking breaks between responding to the fires.
“The gratitude they showed was humbling, but the truth is, we’re the grateful ones,” said Kinstle. “Thank you to the incredible men and women who continue to work tirelessly to protect our communities, keep our families safe and save homes that mean so much to the people who live in them. As REALTORS®, protecting homes is at the heart of what we do, and seeing these brave firefighters do everything they can to keep those homes from being lost is something we deeply appreciate.”
BCAR provided its contact information and let crews know the association stands ready to help if they have any additional needs.
“Our thoughts remain with every firefighter on the front lines and with everyone impacted by these fires,” Kinstle said. “This is what community is all about.”
