BCAR Cares Foundation supports Shallotte Rotary Club

The BCAR Cares Foundation recently wrapped up a children’s book drive benefiting the Shallotte Rotary Club and its Little Library program.

Throughout the drive, BCAR members donated new and gently used children’s books to help stock Rotary’s Little Library boxes located at local parks. These community libraries give children easy access to books they can take home, read and enjoy.

“Programs like this are a simple way to make a meaningful difference for local families,” said Kim Fleming, BCAR Cares Committee Vice Chair. “Every donated book has the opportunity to end up in the hands of a child who is excited to read it.”

The BCAR Cares Foundation extends a sincere thank you to everyone who donated and helped support the program. Through the generosity of BCAR members, more books will be available for children throughout the community.
