Brunswick County REALTORS pack more than 41,000 meals for area families
Effort is part of BCAR’s “Feed the Funnel” party
SHALLOTTE, N.C. — Over 150 Brunswick County REALTORS® and affiliates gathered on October 25 to pack 41,005 meals for Brunswick County families. The full-day effort was part of the Brunswick County Association of REALTORS®’ (BCAR) “Feed the Funnel” party. The meals were donated to Brunswick Family Assistance, a local nonprofit.
Members packed nutritionally balanced meals using an assembly line process. Each meal contains six servings and is made up of dried vegetables, seasonings, rice and beans.
“Brunswick Family Assistance does tremendous work to improve the lives of families and individuals in crisis in Brunswick County, and we are proud to support their efforts,” said Cynthia Walsh, BCAR CEO. “I’m grateful for the generous contributions and hard work of our members.”
Feed the Funnel parties are organized by The Pack Shack, a nationwide organization whose mission is to supply provisions and opportunities for those in need. For more information, please visit https://thepackshack.org/.
