Why do local elections matter?

Home ownership is the foundation of the American Dream. It is critical that those of us who value home ownership, support private property rights and want to build strong communities with a vibrant business environment make our voices heard at the ballot box.

What do they affect?

  • Taxes: Local elected officials set our property tax rates;
  • Property Rights: Local governments enact land use and zoning regulations that affect property rights and home ownership;
  • Public Safety: Local elected officials support the Sheriff’s Office and police departments that keep our clients’ communities safe; and
  • Infrastructure: Local governments build and maintain the water and sewer infrastructure that supports the communities where our clients live.
