BCAR Cares Foundation Spreads Warmth and Kindness Through January Donation Drive

During the month of January, the BCAR Cares Foundation proudly collected donations of blankets, non-slip socks, and word search books in support of our friends at the Heart of Brunswick Foundation. Heart of Brunswick is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to lending a helping hand wherever it is needed throughout Brunswick County.

These generous donations will be put to meaningful use in February, as Heart of Brunswick creates Valentine’s Day goodie baskets for residents of Autumn Care in Shallotte. The baskets are designed to bring comfort, joy, and a reminder that members of our community are thinking of them during the Valentine’s season.

The BCAR Cares Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to all BCAR Cares supporters who contributed to this collection drive. Your generosity and compassion help strengthen our community and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Together, we continue to share warmth, kindness, and care—one act at a time.

Introducing the new BCAR Cares Foundation

The Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce an exciting milestone: effective February 2026, the BCAR Cares Committee has officially grown into the BCAR Cares Foundation.

What began as a committee-driven effort has expanded into a vital and impactful organization serving Brunswick County. Due to its continued growth, success, and increasing community need, the transition to a foundation allows BCAR Cares to broaden its reach and deepen its impact.

As a foundation, BCAR Cares now has greater opportunities for hands-on volunteer involvement and expanded fundraising capabilities. This new structure enables the organization to reach beyond BCAR membership and invite support from the entire community—strengthening partnerships and creating new ways to give back.

“This transition is a reflection of the incredible dedication of our volunteers and supporters,” said BCAR Cares Foundation Chair, Christian Kohler. “Becoming a foundation allows us to do more, reach further, and serve our community in even more meaningful ways.”

The BCAR Cares Foundation remains committed to its mission of supporting local nonprofits, individuals, and initiatives that address critical needs across Brunswick County.

This marks an exciting new chapter—and the work is just beginning.
